Croatoan is an ongoing documentary project rooted in the contemporary American South. Through photographs depicting the vast environments and demographics of the region, the work explores the intersection of heritage, landscape, and time, at its core, questioning both the cost, as well as inevitability, of assimilation with the outside world as many the once indelible features of the region fade into memory.
